What is the difference between silicone and plexiglass candle molds?

Silicone molds are flexible and pick up fine detail, which makes them ideal for shaped and decorative candles. Plexiglass molds are rigid and give clean, smooth pillar candles.

Which wax should I use in candle molds?

Use a harder wax such as paraffin or a pillar blend. It holds its shape, shows detail well and releases easily from the mold.

How do I remove a candle from a silicone mold?

Let the candle cool and set completely, then gently peel the silicone away from the wax. Removing it too early can break fine details.
